Map of everything
You are welcome to get lost. This page is here so that you can get unlost.
The Clearing is a small campus for curious minds, built by Christopher Michael. It has three doors: Read, Learn, and Play. This page lists every place behind them, in plain links that need no JavaScript. Every page has a way back, and this page is always one link away from the front door and the room footers.
The front door
The fire
A circle of stones, a fire, and three doors.
- The Clearing: the front door

Door one
Read
Three publications. These links leave The Clearing and open Substack.
- A.I. Sherpa ↗
Reports and reflections on AI, relational technology, and a changing culture.
- Relational AI ↗
The mathematics and wonder of intentional relationship with AI.
- Friction Point ↗
Epistemic self-defense and the practice of keeping your own judgment in the conversation.
Door two
Learn
Interactive exhibits about relational practice and the systems that make continuity possible. Each has a link back to Learn at the top.
- Voice preservation
An interactive writing toolkit for using AI without losing yourself: build a prompt from your intent, spot voice drift, and check a draft before it leaves your hands.
/voice-preservation.html
- The Relational Codex
The Codex (version 3.5) alongside a companion review: how its sections grew together and how they make room for new ideas.
/codex.html
- Agent memory
How agents retain experience, handle changing facts, and use memory. An interactive guide with current research and sources.
/agent-memory.html
- A shared lexicon
Six shared terms seen through jewel-toned facets: human interpretations, contributed analogies, and poetic voices, each kept distinct.
/analogs.html
Door three
Play
Growing things, curious sounds, and small, strange inhabitants.
- Lumina Studio
A little music studio: six connected tools for hearing how notes fit together. Needs JavaScript. A microphone is optional; its features ask your browser for permission first.
/lumina/
- The living conservatory
A 3D glasshouse you can walk through: beside the water, under the ferns, sitting quietly until someone comes closer. Needs JavaScript and a browser with WebGL 2. If your device cannot open it, you are offered an Enigma encounter instead.
/conservatory.html
- An encounter
Meet one Enigma at a time. Each page address ends in a seed (?seed=…). Keep the address and it brings you back to that same creature every time.
/creature.html
Getting around. The Read, Learn, and Play rooms are carousels. Use the arrows, the dots, the left and right arrow keys, or swipe. “← Back to the fire” returns to the front door. Press Escape to skip the opening walk-up.
The Enigmas. Small creatures occasionally visit these pages. Press the “Enigmas” button in the corner to ask them to be quiet; your choice is remembered on this device only.
If you are an agent. Everything on this page is plain HTML, and the addresses above are stable. The front-door rooms are drawn by JavaScript, so if yours does not run scripts, start here instead.
